  • Can confirm without mods it caps at 25 because of learning limits. I was dicking around with an xp mod and maxed all my stats at level 25. I used another mod to jump past the learning limits since I wanted to be able to trade fiefs and didn't have the.
  • An example of Attributes in Mount&Blade. Your character has four major attributes, which affect what you can do in very profound ways.Attributes do two things: they give you some kind of immediate advantage, and they also allow you to increase skills that are dependent on that attribute.

Unlimited Denars

To activate this cheat, head to reg_config.txt in your game’s installation folder and find the line that says cheat_mode = 0. Change the 0 to a 1 and save. Keep in mind that you’re doing this at your own risk, because this could potentially mess your files, game, or computer up. Then, when on the inventory screen, hold down the [CTRL] button and press X. Doing so will score you 1,000 Denars. Do it over and over again for as many Denars as you want.

Max Stats

Go into the character screen and click on statistics (bottom-left). Next press export character go through with all the boxs, close or minimise M&B and use the search function to find a .txt file with exactly the same name as the character you exported it should be in:

Mount

C:Users”_username_”DocumentsMount&Blade WarbandCharacters. Edit the stats as you wish and then import your character.

Change abilities

First, create a new character in the game. Once done, go to the character page (attributes, etc.) and choose “Statistics” (underneath the character portrait). Then, click “Export”. Once your character has been successfully exported, exit the game and enter the game folder. The top folder should be “Mount&Blade Warband Characters”. Open this folder and double click the file with your character’s name. Change the values to whatever desired after saving a copy. Go back into the game and reload your saved game. Go back to the statistics through the character page. Choose the file that you edited. Load it. Your character now has those abilities.

Create a godlike character

1. Start the game with any character history choices you want, this person isn’t important, or use an old one from a previous save.

2. Once you are in control open the character sheet and click Statistics in the bottom left.

3. Click Export character.

4. Open “computer/Local disk/Users/”the name you use”/Documents/mount & blade warband/Characters and open the text file to be edited.

5. From here you can edit your gold and character sheet to your every whim, do NOT edit the reserved skills as doing so may cause you game to crash. max skills are 10 attributes are 63 weapon skills can only be increased to 460 in game without cheats.

6. Open or start a game with a character with the same name as the super character, open the character sheet and click statistics.

7. Click import character.

8. Enjoy playing a character with nearly limitless money and never needing to level up.

Note: This only permits editing the PC, companions, your army, the world of caladria, and strangely your PCs gender are all SET in the game, all you are doing is changing what the hero can do/spend.

Choosing your faction

Choosing which faction you are going to support is very important in this game, once you pick one, you are instantly doomed to be dragged into every single war they decide to have. While there are no real story-related reasons or motivations to base your choice on, it is important to know which units are provided by the different factions, seeing as how you are going to be stuck with recruiting them after your choice.

Here is a quick summary of each faction’s units:

Swadians: The Swadians have a very strong infantry and cavalry army (though the infantry isn’t as good as the Nords) and some units are secretly tagged as having a horse, thus they do not slow you down on the World Map. Archers are a little lacking though.

Nords: The Nord-armies are very efficient powerhouses, capable of both dealing and taking a lot of damage. Nords are a very infantry-heavy faction with some of the best units of that type in the entire game, the downside however is that they also have high wages and training them can take a long time.

Vaegirs: The Vaegirs have a very balanced army and personally one of my favorites. A good combination of cavalry and archers is all you need to cut down enemy troops like they were made out of pie.

Sarranids: The Sarranids have a very skilled and versatile, but also weak army. A battle in which you use a Sarranid army is always going to turn into a massacre, but it’s always unclear which side will be the victim.

Rhodoks: The Rhodoks are by far my least-favorite faction and I can only recommend them if you are planning to go up against the Khergits. The problem is that they only have spearmen and a few archers, lacking a cavalry and regular infantry unit.

Khergits: The Khergits simply breath cavalry. Every single one of their units is mounted and even their recruits have a chance of spawning on horseback. This makes their army very fast on the World Map and quite effective given the right situation.

*One thing to keep in mind is that, once a region is taken over, it will still provide units belonging to the faction it originally belong to. If you take over Sargoth for example, the surrounding villages will still provide you with Nord Recruit, regardless of the faction that is now in control. This makes it easier to blend armies.

*I still recommend waiting with this until you can hold a large number of units though, as mixing Khergits with Nords will only result in a lot of dead cavalry before the rest of your force arrives.

A brief guide on classes, roles, companions and groups.

Guide to Companion Builds

Introduction

This took me awhile but I felt this was necessary to do. This was made for myself, but thought it would be helpful and cool for others to see. In advance, I will say that this is suited to my play style, thus my opinion on what I think fits best with whatever. You can always change what each characters classes and roles are. Whether you change from what I've recommended (as I do have multiple options for some companions) or you change them entirely. That is fine, suit your play style. Anyway, on with the guide.

Other Remarks

All previously listed are what I think fits best from what I have gathered from looking through each companion's character sheet. You can always change what class or role a companion has that fit your play style.
As for group builds, again, they are very interchangable. I encourage experimentation on what group builds are the best. These builds are just something that I think are best.
